Stan Williamson was a 1931 All-American and All-Conference first team honoree as a football center. The 3-year letterman (1929-30-31) was on 2 conference titlist teams and played in the 1930 and 1932 Rose Bowls. He was a member of USC’s 1931 national championship team, which was the first Trojan squad to beat Notre Dame in South Bend. The Pittsburg High alum captained USC in 1931. After his USC days, he became an assistant football coach at Kansas State and Oklahoma, the head coach at Oklahoma City and a teacher, head coach and athletic director at Santa Barbara College (now UC Santa Barbara). He died on Aug. 17, 1965, at age 56.
