The other half of USC's Marvelous McKeever twins, he won 1959 All-American honors as a guard. He was a 3-year letterman (1958-60) and captained the 1960 squad, but he had to give up football after a head injury in 1960. He was a 2-time Academic All-American (1959-60). He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He also lettered twice in track (1959-60). He died in 1967 at age 27 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
