Jesse Hibbs, a tackle, was a member of USC's first national championship team in 1928. He was a 2-time All-American (1927-28) and lettered for 3 seasons (1926-27-28). He played with the NFL’s Bears in 1931, then had a long career as a Hollywood director. He died on Feb. 4, 1985, at the age of 79.
