Cynthia Cooper-Dyke

One of the world’s best women’s basketball players ever, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke starred at guard for the Women of Troy’s 1983 and 1984 NCAA championship teams. A 4-time letterwinner (1982-83-84-86), she was named an All-Conference first teamer in 1986. She then went on to win a gold medal at the 1988 Olympics and a bronze in 1992. She played professionally overseas and was a 4-time WNBA champion with the Houston Comets, where she was WNBA MVP twice, WNBA Finals MVP 4 times and the league's leading scorer 3 times. She then coached in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury and in college, including at USC. She was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 and into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 (the first WNBA player inducted). In 2016, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Century Team.
