- Seven different Women of Troy scored goals but junior midfielder Kerrigan Miller was the only to score multiple goals. She finished with two and had three ground balls and a draw control.
- Senior attacker Emily Concialdi scored a goal and had an assist to go with two ground balls.
- In goal, sophomore Riley Hertford had eight saves and racked up four ground balls.
- Senior defender Jackie Gilbert won six draws and matched career highs with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Sophomore midfielder Kelsey Huff scored once and set new career marks with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- For the Buffaloes, Miranda Stinson led with a three-goal hat trick and had an assist. She also grabbed three draw controls and picked up two ground balls. Samantha Nemirov scored a hat trick with three goals and had two ground balls Sadie Grozier scored two goals and had an assist. In goal, Julia Lisella had nine saves in the win.
- The Trojans' two-goal first half was the lowest scoring output USC has had in any half this season. The Trojans picked up a season-high 30 ground balls (one shy of tying the school record) and caused 14 of CU's 22 turnovers, but committed 20 turnovers themselves. Buffaloes caused only five of the Trojans' turnovers and were out-shot by the Trojans, 28-22.
- Colorado won the center circle by a 6-3 edge in the first half and had four free-position attempts. After the teams traded goals, Grozier scored back-to-back and Stinson scored again in less than 120 seconds to give CU a 4-1 lead. Freshman midfielder Erin Bakes snapped the Buffalo run but Nemirov scored twice in the final 18 minutes to make it 6-2 at the break.
- The Trojans mounted a 4-1 run in the final 17 minutes of the game and drew within a goal with 3:31 left to play. The USC defense recovered the ball one last time and gave the Trojans a shot at goal with 35 seconds to play, but one final shot went wide of the cage to secure the 9-8 victory for Colorado.
- USC stays at McAlister Field to meet Oregon (2-11, 0-6 Pac-12) on Sunday (April 7) at 1 p.m. PT on McAlister Field. The Ducks dropped a 15-14 overtime decision to Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz., earlier today. The Trojans and Ducks will be shown live on Pac-12 Los Angeles and Pac-12 Oregon.
- USC fell to 6-3 all-time against Colorado as the Buffaloes won for the first time at McAlister Field.
- The Trojans had their season-long nine-game winning streak snapped and also had a six-game home win streak stopped.
- The loss drops USC's record against ranked opponents to 19-28 all-time.
