LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team fell 7-1 to No. 1 UCLA on Saturday evening, evening the series at one win a piece after the Trojans' victory yesterday.

Jack Ralston tossed 8.2 innings for UCLA, dropping the Trojans to 10-15 overall on the season and 3-5 in Pac-12 play. The Bruins move to 19-5 overall and 6-2 in conference action.

UCLA jumped ahead in the first inning thanks to a three-run homer by Jake Pries and then tacked on three more in the third to go ahead 6-0. Chandler Champlain came in and settled things down, tossing 5.0 innings and giving up just one run on three hits. USC never fully figured out Ralston, however, finally scoring its lone run on a solo-shot by Jamal O'Guinn in the bottom of the ninth.

The Trojans did have seven hits in the game, but left five men on base. UCLA had nine hits on the day.
