The 2019 USC/Nike Football Coaches Clinic, featuring an outstanding lineup of guest speakers such as Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay joining the entire Trojan coaching staff, will be held this Friday and Saturday (March 29-30) in the John McKay Center on the USC campus.
In addition to McVay, the guest speakers include Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy, San Diego State head coach Rocky Long, New Mexico head coach Bob Davie, UNLV head coach Tony Sanchez, Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello and New Orleans Saints defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen.
The comprehensive two-day clinic will feature presentations by the guest speakers and USC head coach Clay Helton and his staff, as well as Trojan offensive and defensive staff roundtable discussions covering philosophy and scheme and in-depth position meetings led by each position coach. USC strength and conditioning coach Aaron Ausmus also will conduct a presentation on player development and the off-season/in-season training program.
The clinic also includes attendance at USC's spring football practice on Saturday morning on Howard Jones Field, allowing attendees to see the presentations come to life.
The clinic is open to coaches of all levels, as well as fans who want to learn more about the USC football staff and its coaching philosophy. Among the new Trojan staff on hand will be offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, whose system includes elements of the "Air Raid" attack, and secondary coach Greg Burns, who was on USC's 2003 and 2004 national championship staffs.
Cost of the two-day clinic is $90. The clinic offers a staff discount of $20 off per person for groups of five or more who pre-register together. Presentations begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and conclude at 9 p.m., with dinner included. Saturday's presentations start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., with lunch included. On-site registration opens 30 minutes prior to each day's start.
