- Sophomore goalie Riley Hertford tied the second-highest single-game total in program history with a career-high 17 saves and picked up four ground balls.
- Sophomore midfielder Kelsey Huff scored three goals for her 10th-career hat trick and had three caused turnovers and four ground balls. She becomes the eighth Trojan to record 10 hat tricks in her career.
- Junior midfielder Kerrigan Miller scored two goals and had an assist to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Freshman midfielder Katie Ramsay scored two goals and handed out an assist to go with one draw control.

- For the Cardinal, eight different players scored goals led by Areta Buness who had two. Trudie Grattan had 14 saves and a pair of ground balls in goal. Genesis Lucero had six draw controls to go with two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
- Stanford scored the first goal of the game but the Trojans quickly answered with goals from Ramsay and Miller. The Cardinal pulled even at two-all, but the Trojans went in front by two on goals from Kaeli Huff and Ramsay. The Trojans went into the half with a 5-3 lead off the first of three Kelsey Huff goals scored with under one minute to halftime.
- Less than four minutes into the second half, Stanford pulled even at five-all on goals from Daniella McMahon and Buness. Two goals by Huff sandwiched another by Buness, but the Trojans held the 7-6 lead. Galen Lew scored for the Cardinal to net a seven-all tie, but Miller and Amanda Flayhan scored less than a minute apart to get the Trojans in front, 9-7.
- In the final 12 minutes, Ali Baiocco pulled Stanford within a goal at 11:01, but Anhut pushed USC ahead by two once more with her goal at 5:16. Stanford drew to within one again when Mikaela Watson scored unassisted with 2:05 to play.
- The Trojans stood their ground in the final two minutes, but the Cardinal got into the arc and Katherine Gjertsen took a shot with two seconds remaining. The ball got past Hertford, but the goal was waved off for a yellow card infraction on Gjertsen for a dangerous follow-through to preserve the one-goal win for the Women of Troy.
- The Trojans face California (5-7, 2-3 Pac-12) and No. 20 Stanford for a second time to begin the back half of the Pac-12 schedule. USC heads to Berkeley for a Friday (March 29) game at Memorial Stadium with a 5 p.m. PT start. Then, the Trojans visit the Farm for a Sunday-afternoon matinee (1 p.m.) at Cagan Stadium on March 31. The USC-Stanford game will be shown live on the Pac-12 Networks.
- USC ended a three-game losing streak to Stanford and pulled even in the all-time series at six-all.
