Freshman Bayley Weber scored five goals in two USC wins last week, scoring twice in an 11-5 road win over No. 8 UC Irvine before delivering a hat trick in USC's 22-8 MPSF win over San José State. For her efforts, the young Trojans has earned repeat honors as the MPSF Newcomer of the Week.
Weber scored the first and the final USC goals in the win at UC Irvine, going 2-for-2 on shots taken. Against San José State, Weber matched her career high in going 3-for-4 while also adding an assist in the MPSF victory to help USC to a 19-0 overall record and to 2-0 in MPSF play.
Weber also picked up MPSF Newcomer of the Week honors on Feb. 26 after USC won the Barbara Kalbus Invitational championship.
Weber and the Trojans have their next action on tap in Honolulu this week, with USC facing Hawai'i in a 6 p.m. HT game on Saturday (March 16).
