This weekend, USC student-athletes participated in the school's seventh annual Community Bowl.

USC Athletics held its first Community Bowl in 2011, when the NCAA prohibited the Trojan football team from playing in a postseason bowl game. Instead, the Trojans organized an event to give back to the community, and the event has grown and evolved ever since then.

This year, USC student-athletes visited 24th Street School, located just about 2 miles from USC's campus.

The school has a large fruit and vegetable garden which helps teach the children to eat healthy and learn about the earth. Trojans joined with the schoolchildren to pull weeds and tidy up the garden, while also painting signs with them to decorate the the area.

Trojan Outreach also donated a brand new wall mural, plus some sports equipment, like footballs and basketballs.
