USC Athletics

The USC men's volleyball team went 1-5 in the 8-team USC Fall Tournament on Saturday (Nov. 11) in the Galen Center Pavilion.

The tourney featured best-of-3 matches to 25 points (the third set was 15 points).  For matches that were decided in 2 sets, teams in the tourney had the option of playing a non-counting third set.

The Trojans defeated Concordia, 25-21, 25-21, 15-10, but lost to Cal State Northridge, 25-20, 18-25, 15-13; Grand Canyon, 25-19, 13-25, 15-13; Stanford, 25-27, 25-23, 16-14; UC San Diego, 27-25, 22-25, 15-12; and UC Santa Barbara, 25-15, 26-24.

The Trojans continue their pre-season competition by playing at the UCLA Fall Tournament on Nov. 17 and 18.  USC then begins its 2018 regular season with a non-conference home match against Princeton on Jan. 2 and then playing in the Texaco Rainbow Warrior Classic in Hawaii on Jan. 4-5-6 versus Juniata, Stevens Institute and Hawaii.
