Bio
BREAKDOWN: Jordan Usher is a 6-foot-7, 230-pound sophomore wing who has the ability to get to the rim and create scoring opportunities. His athleticism and strength make him a force both offensively and defensively for the Trojans.
2017-18: Usher averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds and played in all 36 games for the Trojans. He made his only two starts of the season in the NIT games, scoring 13 points in both the win vs. UNC Asheville on March 13 and loss vs. Western Kentucky on March 19. Usher was the only Trojan to shoot over 40 percent from the field and three-point range and 75 percent or more from the free throw line. His 40.9 percent shooting from three-point range tied for third all-time among USC freshmen. Started the season slowly, scoring one point in USC’s first eight games. Made 1 of 2 free throws vs. North Dakota State on Nov. 13 for his first career point. His first collegiate field goal was a three-pointer on Dec. 17 vs. UC Santa Barbara and he finished the game with eight points. Scored 12 points the next game vs. Princeton on Dec. 19. He scored a season-best 14 points three times: at California on Jan. 4, at Oregon State on Jan. 20 and at Utah on Feb. 24. In the game at Oregon State, he helped rally USC back from an 8-point deficit by going 4-for-4 from 3-point range in the second half.
HIGH SCHOOL: Usher played the 2016-17 season at Wheeler High in Marietta, Ga. and helped lead his team to a 21-9 record and to the state GHSA 7-A quarterfinals. He played his first three seasons at Sequoyah High in Canton, Ga., averaging 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game as a junior, leading his team to a 20-9 record. He scored 20 or more points 13 times and had a personal-best 23 rebounds vs. Creekview. Usher scored 30 or more points four times, including a career-best 37 points vs. North Forsyth in the 2014-15 season. During the summer between his junior and senior seasons, he played for the Atlanta Celtics, avergaging 26.4 points per game. He averaged 22.3 points as a sophomore at Sequoyah HS. The four-star prospect is ranked No. 98 on ESPN’s Top 100.
PERSONAL: Usher was born on May 21, 1998 in Atlanta, Ga.  His parents are Karen and Henry Usher. Jordan is majoring in Business at USC.
