SoCal native will join the Trojans for the 2018-19 season.
The USC women's basketball team will add Southern California native Cheyanne Wallace to the team for the 2018-19 season, head coach Mark Trakh has announced. Wallace comes to Troy as a graduate transfer after three stellar seasons at Loyola Marymount. Wallace started 18 games for the Lions last season as one of the leading scorers and rebounders for her team. Wallace finished the season as the 11th leading scorer in the West Coast Conference.
"We are very excited to welcome Cheyanne to the Trojan Family," Trakh said of Wallace. "She had an outstanding career at LMU and will bring great leadership and an outstanding work ethic to our program both on and off the floor. Cheyanne will immediately impact our team positively and help us continue to elevate our program to compete at the highest level. We couldn't be more thrilled with the addition of Cheyanne."

The 6-foot forward had a breakout rookie season in 2015-16, averaging 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game on her way to earning WCC All-Freshman honors. This past season as a junior, Wallace led LMU in scoring with 13.5 ppg and earned one of the team's three WCC Player of the Week honors. Wallace also made some career milestones in the 2017-18 season, including a career high 30 points scored against Miami (OH) and an impressive 24 points and 13 rebounds against none other than the Women of Troy just a few days later. A marketing major with a contract law minor, Wallace was an outstanding student at LMU, earning WCC All-Academic honors for her academic excellence. She will pursue a masters in entrepreneurship and innovation at USC.
A Calabasas native, Wallace attended Sierra Canyon High in Chatsworth, where she led the Trailblazers to three CIF State Championships in 2012, 2014 and 2015. As a senior, Wallace averaged 17.2 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and was an Honorable Mention selection to the MaxPreps 2014-15 All-State Girls Basketball Team. Wallace was also a four-time All-Gold Coast League selection, four-time All-CIF and two-time All-State selection during her high school career. After her final season, Wallace ranked No. 58 at her position for her recruiting class.
Wallace joins a strong set of newcomers coming to the USC roster for 2018-19, combining forces with Vanderbilt transfer Kayla Overbeck and incoming freshmen Jillian Archer and Desiree Caldwell as the program's newest Trojans.
