Deontay Burnett and Ronald Jones II Hold Pro Day Workouts

After pouring in three stellar years at USC, WR Deontay Burnett and RB Ronald Jones II are headed to the 2018 NFL Draft, and they both held workouts at USC today to show their stuff to NFL scouts.
Both players had hamstring injuries that prevented them from fully participating in USC's official Pro Day on March 21, so they gave their best in the weight room and on the field today in front of representatives from 15 teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and more.
Burnett weighed in at 177 lbs. (down from 186 at the NFL Combine), while Jones weighed in at 208 lbs. (up from 205 at the NFL Combine).
Burnett posted a vertical jump of 30.5 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet and 1 inch.
Jones posted a broad jump of 9 feet and 6 inches.
Burnett, who estimated his health was at 80 percent, ran a 4.70 40-yard dash.
"I would say it's frustrating, but at the same time, I got my opportunity," he said.
Jones ran a 4.48 40, despite explaining that his hamstring was only at 85 percent after his workout. That time would have ranked fifth among running backs at the 2018 NFL Combine.
Jones also ran routes and caught passes from outgoing USC QB Sam Darnold. Darnold met with the Browns in Cleveland yesterday, but according to Jones, he switched his flight so he could get home sooner and throw to his teammate on his big day.
"He's always been the man," said Jones of the potential No. 1 overall pick.
Burnett caught passes from Los Angeles native and former Washington and Utah QB Troy Williams.
Both Trojans, along with USC's other NFL hopefuls, are three weeks away from the 2018 NFL Draft, where they'll look to continue USC's unmatched legacy on the gridiron.
